Aftercare
As with most injections, mild bruising and/or swelling can appear in the treated areas. These responses are normal and any discomfort can be treated with paracetamol and bruising can be reduced with the use of arnica cream or gel (which can be commenced a couple of days before your treatment).
The First Few Hours:
Avoid touching the injected areas for a few hours and maintain good hygiene.
The First Few Days:
Avoid applying makeup for approximately 24 hours, although if necessary, a mineral-based makeup may be used after 6 hours. Always use clean makeup brushes and towels.
Avoid alcohol and exercise for 24 hours.
It is recommended to sleep in a supine position (on your back) for the first few nights after treatment.
The First Few Weeks:
Avoid sunbathing, saunas, steam rooms, sun beds and extreme cold weather until all swelling has gone.
Avoid facials, dermaplaning, peels, laster treatments and other facial treatments for at least the next 2 weeks.
Always use a good SPF 30+ sunscreen for the next 2 weeks or longer and maintain your regular skin care routine with a mild cleanser and moisturiser daily.
