POLYNUCLEOTIDES

Polynucleotides are biopolymers made up of nucleotide monomers, which are the essential components of DNA and RNA. Polynucleotides consist of long chains of nucleotides, the basic building blocks of DNA and RNA.
In aesthetic treatments, they are utilised to enhance tissue regeneration and repair by stimulating the skin's natural healing processes, promoting cellular regeneration and repair.
Polynucleotides function as biostimulators by activating specific receptors on fibroblast cells within the tissues, initiating a healing response and are particularly effective for addressing skin damage caused by sun exposure, aging or scarring. This stimulation encourages the production of collagen and elastin, which are vital for maintaining skin firmness, elasticity, and a youthful appearance. Additionally, they enhance skin hydration, reduce inflammation, and help refine skin texture and tone.
Polynucleotides stimulate the fibroblasts to produce more collagen, leading to firmer, smoother skin.
