Dermaplaning
Book Your Free Consultation
If you are unsure if this treatment would be beneficial for you, then we invite you to book a free 15-30 minute consultation to assess the treatment areas and advise on whether this treatment is suitable.

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive exfoliation procedure that uses a sterile surgical scalpel to gently remove the top layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, often called "peach fuzz". This treatment aims to improve skin texture and tone, resulting in a smoother, brighter complexion.
How it works:
Your trained and qualified aesthetics practitioner uses the scalpel to gently scrape the skin at a 45-degree angle. This removes dead skin cells and fine hair, revealing a smoother, more radiant surface. Dermaplaning promotes cell regeneration, leading to a fresher, healthier skin.

Treatment Protocol
A subsequent treatment may be necessary to ensure optimum results and will be discussed at your appointment and is dependent on the individual requirements and areas treated.
Pre-Treatment Precautions
It is advisable, that those with active acne, any infections or cold sores in the area of concern avoid dermaplaning to prevent the spreading of potential bacteria or virus that can lead to the spread of infection. This can cause more inflammation, pigmentation or scarring.
Do not use retinols, exfoliating acids (like AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs), bleaching creams and physical scrubs for 3-5 days before your appointment.
Wait at least 14 days after receiving Toxin Treatments or Dermal Fillers before any dermaplaning treatments.
Avoid direct sunlight where possible at least 5-7 days prior to treatment.
Refrain from waxing, threading or using depilatory creams on the area at least a week beforehand.
Cleanse the treatment areas gently and hydrate with moisturiser for at least one week prior – this will help to keep your skin soft and supple and make it easier for the dermaplaning tool to glide.
