Treatment Protocol
This treatment is effective after only one treatment but for optimum results, three treatments, 2-4 weeks apart will maximise the benefits. Maintenance peels are recommended every 3-6 months.
Aftercare
Skin may appear red and slightly swollen and feel slightly irritated in the treated areas. Skin may become a little flaky or mildly peel in the days after treatment which can be treated with light and gentle moisturising. These responses are normal, temporary and should resolve within a few days.
The First Few Hours:
Avoid touching the treated areas for the initial 24-72 hours and cleanse gently – avoid scrubbing or using harsh cleansers, scrubs or exfoliants for the first 5-7 days.
The First Few Days:
Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser to keep the skin hydrated but avoid over-moisturising.
Focus on gentle aftercare to minimise any irritation and promote healing.
Avoid products containing AHAs, BHAs, retinoids, retinols and fragranced facial products for a few days after treatment.
Avoid picking, rubbing or scratching the treated area, even if it feels itchy or dry, and allow the exfoliating effect of the treatment to run its course.
Avoid sunbathing, hot baths or showers, saunas and steam rooms for a few days.
The First Few Weeks:
Protect the skin from prolonged exposure to the sun for the following weeks to protect the skin. Always use a good SPF 30+ sunscreen regularly.
Stay hydrated to support the healing process.
