This aesthetics procedure uses tiny, sterile needles to gently penetrate the skin. These make little micro-injuries to your skin – which sounds more intense than it is. What it does is encourages your skin’s natural healing powers to prompt your body to increase the production of fresh collagen and elastin. This results in a visible reduction in wrinkles, fine lines and folds, alongside improvements in scars, pigmentation, and hyperpigmentation. It also tightens and brightens the skin.

Treatments generally have minimal downtime, allowing you to resume normal activities shortly after the procedure, although you may experience a little redness, swelling and/or mild skin irritation which typically resolves within a few days. Results are gradual and can take a few weeks to become fully noticeable, as collagen and elastin production continues.

Treatment Protocol

Standalone treatment or multiple treatments may be recommended for optimum results. This procedure can also be used as part of a programme of aesthetic treatments.

Aftercare

Skin may appear red and slightly swollen and feel slightly irritated in the treated areas. These responses are normal, temporary and should resolve within a few days.

The First Few Hours:

Avoid touching the treated areas for the initial 24-72 hours and cleanse gently – avoid scrubbing or using harsh cleansers.

The First Few Days:

Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser to keep the skin hydrated.

Avoid applying makeup for approximately 24 hours to avoid irritation.

Avoid alcohol-based toners, exfoliants, retinoids or other potentially irritating ingredients.

Limit strenuous exercise or activities that cause sweating for  24-72 hours.

Avoid sunbathing, hot baths or showers, saunas and steam rooms for 48 hours.

After 3-5 days, gently exfoliate the skin to remove any flaky or dead skin.

The First Few Weeks:

Protect the skin from prolonged exposure to the sun for the following weeks to protect the skin and prevent hyperpigmentation. Always use a good SPF 30+ sunscreen for the next 2 weeks or longer and avoid tanning.

Stay hydrated to support the healing process.

WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION

Allergy or Infection is extremely rare. If you do experience the following symptoms, then please seek urgent medical advice.

If you notice additional hyperpigmentation, contact your clinician immediately.

 

Anaphylaxis : although this is extremely rare, it is a serious condition which requires urgent medical attention. Symptoms may include swelling, rashes, redness or blotching around your face and you may experience difficulty in breathing or talking. CALL 999.
